Dawn Whitmore uses photography to examine the who, why and how questions surrounding pockets of our world with photographic imagery.  Much of her work is based on exploring niche areas of society by using photography to peel away or add multiple layers and angles to examine the evolving lens of identity and culture.  Dawn’s work has been shown in numerous venues including: the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Capitol Hills Arts Workshop and featured during DC FotoWeek and the Dumbo Arts Festival in NYC.

Dawn graduated from the Corcoran School of Art in 2005.  She currently resides in Washington, DC.
